Youth and profession
Our institution is based in Hagen, a city in the western area of Germany. It is located at the border to the Sauerland and the rural area. Moreover, in Hagen live about 187.500 people. The offering of the Evangelische Jugendhilfe / youth social work is directed to personally and socially disadvantaged young people, who have considerable difficulties to have a perspective on one´s life caused by social or educational deficits. The institution offers a broad range concerning help systems. That is why adolescents can be supported while going to school, doing their apprenticeship or even in their prospective jobs. The apprenticeship can be done in the following professions: hairdresser, cook, gardener, housekeeper, professional for hotel & catering, office administrator, jobs in the metal or automobile sector. The most relevant aim to achieve is the emancipated and active participation of our young people in the society. We support the participants in our device to discover their own resources, to create professional perspectives and to gain the knowledge and skills to successfully position themselves in their apprenticeship and job.
The main specializations of our high school are: Mathematics- Information Technology, Philology, Science, Natural Resources, Mechanics, Electro mechanics, Commerce, Economy, Electronics and Automation, and Construction Materials.“Aurel Rainu” Technological High School, Fieni, offers education of good quality for all the students no matter the race, sex, beliefs or ethnic group. Our school promotes a climate that improves developing the students’ potential on the basis of their personal abilities and qualifications by offering the teenagers the chance to achieve themselves morally and professionally, to become active citizens of Europe
The High Technical School of Emil Kolben in Rakovník is a specialized school which educates students altogether in three four-year and three three-year fields of study. The four-year fields of study are finished with a school-leaving exam that gives the students an opportunity to continue studying at university or start working. The domains are Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and information Technology. The aim of the three-year curriculum is to prepare the students for their occupation in the chosen branch, will they engage in it as employees or as entrepreneurs. At our school it is possible to study these fields of study: a mechanic, a machinist and an electrician for power applications.
Centro de Estudos e Formação Profissional Diogo Dias Melgaz, lda, (Escola Profissional de Cuba) develops its activity in the village of Cuba and gives both Vocational and Education and Training courses to a school population aged between 15 and 20 years old. The school is an entity dedicated to vocational education for young people and adults, with dual certification, with capacity for 200 students. The training centre aims to make up for any lack of educational and professional qualifications amongst the young and adult population by enabling them to acquire the necessary educational, technical, social and relational skills that will provide them with access to better career opportunities.
Our school is located in Pécs, in the south-west of Hungary. The city has a population of 160,000. We are proud that Pécs was the Cultural Capital of Europe in 2010. Many parks, squares and public buildings were built or renewed on that occasion. There is a late Roman Paleo Christian cemetery in our city which is included in the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2000. We are a secondary school, which is part of the Apáczai Education Centre. The secondary school, two elementary schools, a students’ hostel, and an art school belong to this modern institution. The secondary school has 357 students and 31 teachers. There are 12 classes. The classes are specialised at bilingual English and advanced English, information technology and human science.
